The Ambassador program will be providing training to the hospitality industry in 2016.
Get the tools and knowledge necessary to create a more memorable visitor experience, and you’ll reap the benefits! The certification provides you with a meaningful, industry-recognized credential that is visible to family, friends, employers, co-workers and visitors! Display your certificate and wear your name tag with pride ─ it’s a great conversation starter and shows visitors you’re certified!
We'll help you stay ‘In The Know’ with regular updates about new developments or other happenings in your area. Gain first-hand knowledge of things visitors ask about!
Join us each month to visit sites in the area. Visit three sites and pass a quiz to receive your Florence Tourism Ambassador certificate and name tag. For every three additional site visits, you’ll receive an extra star to wear with pride!
We’ll meet at the Florence CVB at 10am and carpool. While locations may change, currently scheduled dates and sites are listed below (costs vary according to activities):
1/26/16: Pee Dee State Farmer’s Market, lunch at Julia Belle’s, Young Plantations $20
2/18/16: Florence Museum and lunch at Wholly Smokin’ $20
3/17/16: Progressive Lunch, FMU Performing Arts Center, and downtown guided artwalk $40
4/27/16: ArtFields (Lake City), lunch at Inn at the Crossroads $20 CANCELLED
5/19/16: Lynches River County Park, lunch at Stefano’s $20
6/16/16: Florence Civic Center, lunch at Percy & Willie’s $20 CHANGED TO Lake City, lunch at Inn at the Crossroads $20
7/21/16: Darlington Raceway Museum, lunch at Raceway Grill $25
8/25/16: River Rats Kayaking, boxed lunch $30
9/15/16: Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden (Bishopville), lunch at Harry & Harry Two’s $25
10/20/16: Moore Farms Botanical Garden, lunch at Rebel Pie, dessert at Freeman’s Bakery $30
