Florence is the place to be during NASCAR race weeks! The track “Too Tough To Tame” comes alive during the weekends of Mothers Day and Labor Day. Mothers Day weekend features the Darlington Throwback of NASCAR, while the Labor Day weekend features the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
Darlington is known as the track “Too Tough to Tame,” and with two exciting race weekends around the egg-shaped track, it’s sure to be an exciting weekend!
During the Labor Day race, the fun kicks off on Thursday evening at the Darlington Car Hauler Parade and Festival at the Florence Center. See all of the NASCAR transporters up close and enjoy games, food, live entertainment, and maybe even a few drivers! There is a carnival area with race-themed activities for children and a silent auction to benefit a local charity.
