Easter-inspired Events Spreading Fun Across the Pee Dee

It must be true carrots are good for the eyes, because have you ever seen a bunny wearing glasses? Case closed.

What’s wide open are local Easter-inspired events already piling up like eggs in a basket. We’re collecting them here as they hop into view, so regularly check back for family-friendly fun. Some repeat, some are one-time events, which will be noted.

Magnolia Mall, Photos with the Bunny: Starting Saturday, Mar. 18 and going to Apr. 8

Magnolia Mall, Family Pet Photos with the Bunny: On Mondays ONLY, Mar. 20, Mar. 27 and Apr. 3. Get your pets ready for their close-up! Family Pet Photos are available every Monday in Best Buy Court from 12pm-8pm (break times: 3pm-3:45pm). Digital photo packages are available with options to purchase prints. Hoppin’ Around Flo-Town 2023: Starting Mar. 31 and going to Apr. 9 from 8am-7pm

From the City of Florence Recreation, Athletics & Sports Tourism, the City of Florence’s city-wide Easter Egg Hunt, Hoppin’ Around Flo-Town returns! Clues will be posted on the morning of March 31 at 7:30am. Use the clues to find giant Easter Eggs in 10 different locations. Scan each egg’s unique QR code and fill out the short form for an entry to win one of our wonderful prizes! The more eggs you find the more likely you are to win.

March 12

Easter Egg Hunt at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Hartsville: Sunday at 3pm is an Easter Egg Hunt at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Bring your kids up to 12 years old for an Easter themed party with crafts, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and more! Bring your own baskets.

March 25

Mainstreet Bennettsville Egg Hunt: Join them from noon-2pm for their egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, a real live bunny, free popcorn, and more!!! Don’t be late. At Kidsland Park at 401 Center Street.

April 1

Hemingway Easter Egg Hunt: From 9am-11am at the Hemingway Ball Field on South McAlister Street will be Easter bunny photos, egg hunts by age groups, games, crafts and more!

Mullins Easter Egg Hunt: The Mullins Chamber Of Commerce, Marion County Library System and The South Carolina Tobacco Museum at 157 E Front St. (Lions Park by City Hall and the Fire Department) invite everyone to an Easter Eggstravaganza filled with fun for the whole family! Egg hunts, games and activities, food trucks, face painting, vendors and more. Rumor has it the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at 10am.

Bunny Brunch at Lynches River County Park: It’s the first Bunny Brunch at Lynches River County Park from 10am-11:30am! Crafts, games, brunch, an egg hunt, plus a FREE photo with the Easter Bunny. Cost is $10 per person (ages 1 and up). Registration is required and open, with no refunds issued after March 28. Please call 843-389-0550 for more information and to register.

2023 Egg Scramble Jamboree Festival: Come on down to Main Street in Lamar for the 2023 Egg Scramble Jamboree Festival! All day is food, vendors, and family fun!

Dominion Church Easter Eggstravanza: From 11am-2:30pm is the Dominion Church Easter Eggstravanza in partnership with the Darlington Middle School Spring Festival! Get your Easter baskets ready and join us for a day packed full of FREE fun, community & celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus. Will have over 70,000 FILLED plastic eggs, with an egg hunt for special needs children and Helicopter Egg Drops for ages 0-14 years.

Also face painting, a petting zoo, train rides, inflatables, photo booths, an Easter story, prizes along with visits from the Easter Bunny, Bubble Guy, and Balloon Man.

Events and parking are free. There will be a variety of food available for purchase.

Hunts & Helicopter Egg Drops will be separated into different age groups—

11:15am: Special Needs Egg Hunt (for special needs children of all ages, parents/guardians may assist)

12pm: Ages 4 and under Helicopter Egg Drop (parents may assist)

12:30pm: Ages 5-9 Helicopter Egg Drop (volunteers will be available to assist children, if needed)

1pm: Ages 10-14 Helicopter Egg Drop (volunteers will be available to assist children, if needed)

They ask that parents watch children from the sidelines during the helicopter eggs drops. Egg hunt times are subject to change depending upon the weather.

Easter on the Farm: From 10am-2pm at 6254 Lake Robinson Rd., Hartsville from Honeysuckle Hollow Farms. Games, pictures with the Easter bunny by TLK Photography, face painting, the Sparrow Hill Market food truck and D’s Mini Doughnuts (making fresh doughnuts on site).

$5 admission (5 and under free) includes egg hunt for age and games*.

*3 and under at 10:30; *4-5 yrs old at 11:15am; *6-7 yrs old at 12pm; *8-9 yrs old at 12:45pm; *10-12 yrs old at 1:30pm.

McArthur Farms – Helicopter Easter Egg Drop: From 11am-3pm McArthur Farms has EGG-Citing things. Hop on over for their Inaugural Helicopter Easter Egg Drop. Over 15, 000 eggs will make their way to Farm Fun Acres. Meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy egg hunts, animals, slides, wagon rides, bubble fun, jumping pillow, photo ops, and acres of FUN!

Black Jack Harley-Davidson pictures with the Easter Bunny: Don’t miss the Easter Bunny! Hop into Black Jack Harley-Davidson in Florence and have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny from 10am-noon.

Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt: From 10am-noon all are welcome! Enjoy a sweet treat while looking for eggs.

Downtown Kingstree Egg Hunt: Another EGGCELLENT event is right around the corner! Mark your calendar 10am-2pm for a wonderful family day spent in downtown Kingstree enjoying all things spring. Includes a Downtown Egg walk with pictures with the Easter bunny, inflatables, face painting, balloon animals and music!

Central United Methodist Church Easter Egg-Stravaganza: At 167 South Irby Street in Florence, the Easter Egg-Stravaganza from 10:30-11:30am! Grab your Easter baskets for a morning filled with eggs, eggs, and more eggs! There will be some baby farm animals and other special activities. This is a registration event. April 6

Easter Egg Hunt in Darlington: Darlington County Parks, Recreation, & Tourism at 10am at Virgil Wells Stadium features an egg hunt for kids 1-8!

April 8

Eggnormous Egg Hunt in Cheraw: The Town of Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services has an egg hunt at 1pm at Arrowhead Park at 989 State Road!

Eggstravaganza 2023 at Moore Farms Botanical Garden: From 10am-noon, Eggstravaganza is one of Moore Farms Botanical Garden’s most EGG-ceptional events of the year. More than 20,000 eggs will be hidden throughout the garden for children to hunt. They will also feature crafts and a surprise visit by the Easter bunny himself. Hurry, grab your tickets before they are gone!

2023 Easter Egg Extravaganza: The Pageland Chamber of Commerce presents the 2023 Easter Egg Extravaganza at 10am at Moore Park. Four age groups look for over 2,000 eggs including prize eggs and cash eggs!

Community Easter Eggstravaganza: At 10am is the Community Easter Eggstravaganza from Coker University and the City of Hartsville. Join Coker for a hopping good time. Student volunteers will hide eggs throughout Coker’s lawn for little bunnies to find. Families are encouraged to come out early as the eggs will only be available while supplies last! (Ages 12 and Under)

Darlington Church of God of Prophecy Easter Egg Hunt 2023: From 11am-1pm they will have their annual Easter Egg Hunt. They hope you can bring your family and let’s hunt eggs.

The Eggnormous Egg Hunt & KidsFest from the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce: At Craig Park and Bittle Drive, there is an egg hunt at 10:30am and a kidsfest from 11am-1:30pm! They are seeking local businesses, church & civic groups, school clubs, etc. to set up game booths for the children to win prizes. Please reach out if you are interested. Mega Egg Hunt at Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church: At 11am-12pm come join them for their annual Mega Egg Hunt! Registration begins at 10:30am. They will have hot dogs, prizes, photo booths and more. This event is free and will be at their main campus only.
