The 2nd South Carolina Regiment is pleased to announce their sponsorship of the 5th Annual American Heritage Festival Revolutionary War Reenactment Saturday and Sunday at Graham’s Historic Farm near Lake City. Watch the reenactments, visit the merchants, and celebrate our history! Attending regiments include: the 2nd South Carolina Continentals, 2nd North Carolina Regiment, British Legion, 33rd Regiment of Foot – British, 3rd Continental Light Dragoons, and Kingsbury Artillery.
WWII reenactments include the H Company Parachute Infantry Regiment, C Company Parachute Infantry Regiment, The 82nd Airborne, Headquarters of the 101st Airborne, The 307th Medical Battalion, The 307th Engineer Battalion of the Allied, and FJR15 of the 5th Fallschirmjager Division.
The Military Vehicle Collectors of South Carolina (MVCSC) will be back for the second year in a row! MVCSC is an all-volunteer organization whose members share a common interest in educating the public and especially young persons about the vital role the US Armed Forces have played and continue to provide in the development of our nation and its patriotic ideals.
Come to Graham’s Historic Farm, where Francis Marion’s brigade staged attacks, brought British prisoners, and hid from Lord Tarleton. See how Marion earned his legendary name the “Swamp Fox.” Enjoy the Patriot Games, which includes a hatchet throwing contest, apple pendulum bayonet charge, and skillet toss contest. See the British and colonial encampments. Listen to Ed Forte speak on the birth of the Marines as well as Marion and Lee’s siege of Fort Watson. Torch walk and Night of Lights display are on Saturday night.
