University Place presents an exhibition featuring Will Penny: Neutral Zone. His art will be on display from September 8 through October 23.
Will Penny’s Neutral Zone is an immersive installation featuring a combination of digital and experimental media representing the artist’s interests in simulation, interactivity, and techno-romanticism. Borrowing from a range of sources including science fiction, fantasy art, gestural abstraction and other artistic formal conventions, the works within Neutral Zone present a variety of approaches to representing experience as fragments and components of a larger whole, mediated through time-based video and sculptural works. The slippage between simulation, illusion and reality is the space in which the Neutral Zone is situated.
