Florence Center Returns with a Series of Safe and Engaging Events for the Pee Dee!
We will never forget 2020, kind of like you never forget stepping on a hornet’s nest.
But a different kind of buzz is returning, the buzz of activity, as venues such as the Florence Center find safe ways to bring events back within social distancing guidelines!
First up is the SC Bridal Showcase this Sunday from 1-5pm. Getting engaged and then planning a wedding is stressful anytime, but this year adds extra stress, so make the planning extra easy by skipping the Internet and bridal magazine browsing and cutting to the chase by having all of the wedding professionals you need in one place at the Florence Center.
The SC Bridal Showcase will feature everything and beyond, such as:
- The latest trends, including attire demonstrated in a fashion show
- How to plan your dream honeymoon
- A sample of favorite wedding foods
- A preview of the area’s top wedding venues
- A chance to win major prizes
Tickets online are $9, while it’s $11 at the door.
Brides and grooms, be sure to download, print and complete the bridal registration form at https://www.scbridalshowcase.com/. Bring it with you to the Showcase for door prizes, special offers and chances to win great gifts!
Also call (843) 678-9393 for more information.
Next up is the Gun & Knife Show from MKshows, promoters of quality shows for shooters and collectors. Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9am-5pm and Sunday, Oct. 11 from 10am-4pm, browse firearms, related equipment and collector’s items from private, pawn and retailer vendors. There should be something for shooters, collectors and Civil War and military enthusiasts.
Tickets are sold at the door the day of event for $8.
To cap off October, the Carolina Food Truck Rodeo returns October 16-18, Friday from 5-9pm, and Saturday-Sunday from 1pm-9pm.
“Come hungry, leave happy” they say, as food trucks descend upon the Florence Center with an amazing variety of foods, gourmet recipes, grilled favorites, authentic cuisines, worldly flavors, sweet treats, cold beverages and more.
To go with daily live music there is also a beer garden featuring a wide variety of craft brews, imports and domestics.
For the kids there is an area with rides and more (kids under 16 must be with an adult).
Admission is $2. Kids 12 and under free.
For more information on any of these events go to the Florence Center’s Facebook page or website.
