Alex Palkovich’s bust of Jack Dowis can be found in the Drs. Bruce and Lee Florence County Library in the room named for Dowis. An architect by trade, Dowis served as president of the SC Watercolor Society, chairman of the board of trustees of the Florence Museum, charter commissioner of the SC Arts Commission, and chairman of the selection committee for the State Art Collection.
