Pee Dee Outdoor Classic Debuts at Florence Center March 8-10
The Great Outdoors. It’s not hard stepping outside—but making the outdoors great often requires…accessories! 😊
Coming to the rescue is the Pee Dee Outdoor Classic, Carolina’s new premier outdoor expo that goes on the hunt for outdoor enthusiasts March 8-10 at the Florence Center, taking advantage of 75,000 square feet part of the Center’s recent expansion.
“We’re talking everything outdoors, and I mean everything,” said Brian Davison, the director of sales at the Florence Center in a release. “We’ll certainly have plenty of hunting and fishing, but way more items and vendors, too, like paddle boards, bicycles, mosquito services, golf, and the list goes on.”
The Outdoor Classic will combine everything outdoor-related from boats and RVs to hunting and fishing to camping and climbing. The Classic will house popular aspects of outdoor life at one location: products, services and entertainment.
This includes camping gear, sporting goods, ATVs, outfitters, guides and services, archery, kayaks, bicycles, recreational vehicles, team sports, hunting, paddle boards, animals, demonstrations and much more.
There will be special attractions as well, such as a large canine aquatic pool from DockDogs, the world’s premier canine aquatics competition, where they will share their tricks through a live demonstration and a pool onsite.
Additionally, stars from the Pursuit Channel’s “Trophy Room Adventure TV” (hosts Scott Martin and Brandon Murphy) are also scheduled to appear to talk to patrons and sign autographs.
Not to be outdone, Tyler Wright will conduct live falconry demonstrations with a red-tailed hawk and an American kestrel, where you can also learn about the raptors. Expect the same from a live snake show!
Note that presenters will also award various gifts and door prizes throughout the expo, ranging from sporting goods to outdoor equipment (and even a few outdoor trips and excursions!). For example, Friends of Revolutionary Rivers (FOREVR), will give away two 2-hour 2-person kayak trips from RiverRat’s Canoe Rentals (one given away each day).
Look for the Rivers booth, where they will also sell tickets for their Pee Dee Shad Roe-deo event March 23 at Venters Landing in Johnsonville from 2-6pm to raise money for platform campsites for Lynches River and the SC Revolutionary Rivers National Recreation Trail. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at 843-664-0330.
Pee Dee Outdoor Classic hours are Friday 1-8pm, Saturday 9am-6pm, and Sunday 10am-5pm.
