The Florence Center is Keeping Very Busy This Winter!

Last year we said in this first blog of the year that 2020 had a nice ring to it. We apologize because it was a real stinker.

But things ARE looking up already for 2021! January is often a bit slow in the activity department even in normal years, but the Florence Center is bucking (literally in one case) that trend with a series of exciting events.

Feb 5-6 – Florence Stampede and Pro Rodeo
Would they steer you wrong?

The Florence Stampede and Pro Rodeo rides back into town at the Florence Center February 5-6! Returning is bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, cowgirl’s breakaway roping, team roping, cowgirl’s barrel racing and…wild brahma bull riding!

The Southern Rodeo Association (SRA) presents the rodeo at 7pm nightly. Double Creek Pro Rodeo has teamed up with the SRA to add local cowboy heritage and an even more exciting rodeo filled with national, regional and local talent plus top-notch stock.

Tickets are available at FlorenceCenter.com and Ticketmaster.com. Due to current Covid-19 guidelines, seating will be limited.

Feb 21 – TOBYMAC Hits Deep Tour
TOBYMAC Hits Deep Tour is back for another year with a star studded supporting cast. Seating is limited so don’t wait to buy tickets!

The 2021 lineup features TOBYMAC & the DiverseCity Band along with special guests Tauren Wells, We Are Messengers, Unspoken, Cochren & Co., and Terrian. TOBYMAC Hits Deep Tour is supported Nationally by KLOVE, and Air1 Radio, Food for the Hungry, and Altrua HealthShare.

TOBYMAC is a Christian hip hop recording artist, music producer, songwriter and author who has 20 solo singles on Billboard’s Christian Songs list.

March 6 – Power Comicon
The Florence Center for the first time ever this year is hosting this year’s Power Comicon! Join vendors and artists from all over the East Coast to shop new comics, back issues, toys, collectibles and much more. Daring? Enter the Cosplay contest to win real cash prizes. Tickets are $10 and children under 12 are FREE!

Power Comicon is brought to you by Power Comics in Conway. For more information visit www.powercomicon.com.

March 8 – Evening of Hope with Tim Tebow

The Florence Center offers an “Evening of Hope with Tim Tebow”, an event that will raise funds for the local House of Hope that benefits the homeless community. The event features the two-time national champion for the Florida Gators, first-round NFL draft pick and Heisman Trophy winner. Also a college football analyst for ESPN, he also has taken on a professional baseball career after leaving the NFL. Tickets are $25, and can be purchased here: https://bit.ly/3qGrtaL.

Tebow is the son of missionaries and worked to establish the faith-based Tim Tebow Foundation in 2010, which has in part worked to help children with life-threatening illnesses by building Timmy’s Playrooms in children’s hospitals.
