When was the last time you stopped at the intersection of I-95 and I-20? Even for those of us who work at the Visitors Center right at Exit 160A, it seems that the area is growing every time we turn around! It all started with Magnolia Mall and the Florence Civic Center about twenty years ago. Now the exit is bustling with hotels, restaurants, and places to shop.

Accommodations range from Hilton properties (Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn and Suites, and a brand new Home 2 Suites) and Marriott properties (Courtyard Inn, SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, and a new TownePlace Suites being constructed) to Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Quality Inn, Red Roof Inn and Affordable Suites.

Oh, my goodness, there's so much great shopping it's hard to know where to start! Check out the more than 70 stores at Magnolia Mall with Belk, Old Navy, Sears, JC Penney, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, and Dick's Sporting Goods. Don't miss the Commons at Magnolia with Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, and PetSmart plus the Plaza at Magnolia with Kohl's and Home Depot. Just a ways down David McLeod Boulevard are Academy Sports, Hobby Lobby and Lowes. Following David McLeod a few blocks to the end, you'll find the Florence Mall with Talbot's, Ulta, TJ Maxx, Ross, and SteinMart.

And you say you're hungry? I think we can help you with that.

Locally-owned restaurants in the hospitality district include 1720 Burger Bar, La Bamba, Lizard's Thicket, Miyami, Percy & Willie's, RedBone Alley, and StarFire Grill.

For Mexican, try Chili's, Chipotle, Corona Mexican, Don Jose, La Bamba, Moe's, or San Jose.

Asian? Try Golden Crown, Golden Dragon, Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet, Miyami, or Red Bowl Asian Bistro.

Italian? You can choose from Olive Garden, Mellow Mushroom, or Cici's Pizza.

Good old fashioned American, or a great steak? 1720 Burger Bar, Buffalo Wild Wings, Five Guys, Golden Corral, Great American Grill, J Michael's, Jersey Boys, Longhorn Steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse, The Peddler, Percy & Willie's, RedBone Alley, Red Lobster, Western Sizzlin and Shane's Rib Shack await your arrival.

Oh, and just in case you're looking for breakfast at 3:00 in the afternoon, IHOP is the place!
