#VisitFlo Quarantine Bingo

Bingo Card

The last thing we all expected this year is…well…just about everything that’s happened in 2020. But as a community and as a nation, we are resilient, creative and inspired, and are making the best of the situation we can. With that in mind, here’s one avenue to stay engaged and active within social distancing and general health guidelines!

Our bingo card hits on the activities still open to us, at home and perhaps with the kids, while safely getting around town, supporting local businesses, safely getting in exercise and perhaps getting in allowed recreation at nature’s many beautiful local sites.

  • Order take-out from a local restaurant. Check out our blog here for some great options!
  • Buy produce from an open-air farmers market. Two great options are the City Center Farmers Market and the Pee Dee State Farmers Market.
  • Write a positive online review (of a local business doing everything it can to adapt to the current situation!).
  • Buy a gift card (or two!) from a small business.
  • Take a peaceful, well-shaded drive along Old River Road.
  • Make a donation to a local nonprofit. A list of local non-profits and how they’re currently operating is pinned here at Volunteer Corps of Florence County.
  • Check in on a neighbor (while adhering to social distance guidelines).
  • Make a Southern recipe at home. Try the Young Plantation’s Basic Pecan Pie!
  • Ask a local photographer about the Front Porch Project.
  • Drive the Florence Rotary Beauty Trail. It winds through 11 miles of an historic residential area of Florence. Grab a map and CD from the outdoor kiosk at the Florence Visitors Center or at Taylor Garden & Gift Shop before heading out!
  • Take the time to follow local businesses on social media.
  • Plant some seeds and watch things bloom.
  • Go teddy bear hunting. Check out the local kids’ activity in an article here.
  • Facetime with friends and family.
  • Walk the Florence Veterans Park.
  • Bird watch at Lynches River County Park.
  • Explore the Florence Rail Trail.
  • Tip someone extra! They are working hard under tough conditions.
  • Post pics of Florence on social media using #visitflo.
  • Discover SC Revolutionary Rivers and the “Swamp Fox”.
  • Print and color SC State Park coloring sheets at home.
  • Sign up for a virtual art class. Addie’s Baby is offering several.
  • Drive the Alex Palkovich Sculpture Trail.
  • Shop a local business online.
