The Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau is busy doing more than may be immediately obvious! First and foremost, we operate a visitors center from 9am to 5pm daily to provide entertainment information, directions, dining choices, and more to travelers and people who are looking to visit or relocate. We provide convention support many times each year by providing welcome bags, coordinating room blocks and notifying restaurants, as well as working closely with multiple meeting venues. We market the Florence County area by placing print advertisements in national and international publications, and we print and maintain literature such as the Dining Guide and Visitors Guide.

We represent Florence at many national tradeshows and conventions on tourism and sports marketing annually. The Florence CVB acts as a receptive for motorcoach companies by building and developing itineraries, and acting as a “step-on guide” for travel groups. The Florence CVB builds awareness at the local level, too, by providing festival support, writing press releases, maintaining an online regional calendar, and by having an active presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Please let us know how we can assist you. Whether you’re planning a family reunion or business meeting, or simply need directions to the museum, the Florence CVB is here to help!

If you’d like to receive our weekly event newsletters, please add your email to our list by filling out the email block in the footer of this page.

Sometimes the best way to meet awesome people is through volunteering. We’re always happy to help make connections!

Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau has teamed up with United Way of Florence County to coordinate volunteers and service opportunities.

Want to get more involved in your community? We’ve compiled a list of non-profit organizations.

Florence CVB is working with United Way to promote their Volunteer Corps program. The program has two levels – volunteering on a regular basis, and volunteering as-needed. We have a special Facebook page to keep everyone updated on volunteer opportunities. Fill out the application to be added to our distribution list.
