Kayaking the Revolutionary Rivers

This beginner-friendly, 2.5-mile blackwater river excursion begins at River Rats Canoe & Kayak Shop in Scranton and includes a shuttle to the launch site. Guests glide beneath towering cypress trees and Spanish moss while learning about Francis Marion, the “Swamp Fox,” and the Pee Dee region’s role in the American Revolution. Ideal for heritage groups and outdoor enthusiasts alike, the experience may conclude with a casual riverside boxed lunch for a relaxing and memorable finish.
The Pearl of the Pee Dee: Darlington Raceway Experience
This curated Darlington, South Carolina itinerary highlights the rich motorsports heritage and local culture of the region. Guests begin with a guided Hall of Winners Tour at Darlington Raceway, exploring legendary drivers and NASCAR history at “The Track Too Tough to Tame.” The experience continues with shopping for official merchandise at the Pit Shop and the opportunity to take paced laps around the historic track.
