Angela ShankleRay and I go way back with Krispy Kreme: it’s practically tradition at this point. We always stop at the Florence, SC location, especially when that red light is on, letting everyone know those hot, fresh glazed donuts are ready, as we head to the camper. I carried my “healthy eating habits” right up to the counter and ordered a banana pudding, a strawberry and cream, and two chocolate iced cream filled. Ray stayed loyal to his classics: two hot glazed and a milk. If you’re vegetarian, lactose intolerant, diabetic, or avoiding peanuts… you might want to grab an ice water and let me handle the rest 😄 Everything was fresh, the place was clean, and the employees served up free smiles that made the whole stop feel easy and welcoming. Honestly, that alone is enough to make me stop again on the way back home. They do have an enclosed outdoor seating area, so you’re not stuck sitting in traffic or right on the sidewalk, they just haven’t added the actual seating yet.
