Go Nuts This November: Fall Festivals, Food and Fun in Florence County
November Is One of Florence County’s Sweetest Months
If there is one weekend that perfectly captures fall in Florence, this is it. November brings cooler weather, outdoor adventures, arts and entertainment, holiday shopping — and one of Florence County’s biggest celebrations of the year: the SC Pecan Music & Food Festival. Plan a weekend, bring your appetite and get ready to go nuts.
The SC Pecan Music & Food Festival Returns November 7
On Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Downtown Florence comes alive for the annual SC Pecan Music & Food Festival.
The free festival attracts more than 50,000 attendees and fills downtown with live entertainment, food, vendors and family-friendly activities. The 2026 festival features nine stages of live entertainment, making it easy to spend the entire day exploring. SC Pecan Fest.
Come hungry. Stay awhile.
Festival day is the perfect opportunity to sample local flavors, browse vendors, hear live music and experience the energy of Downtown Florence with thousands of new friends.
Families can also visit the festival’s STEM Zone, where Dooley Planetarium hosts hands-on activities and opportunities to safely view the sun through solar telescopes. Admission to the STEM Zone is free.
Run Like a Nut
Want to earn those pecan treats?
Start festival morning with Run Like a Nut, featuring 5K, 10K and half-marathon options before heading into the festival.
Even if running isn’t part of your vacation plans, the race adds another layer of excitement to festival morning — and another good reason to arrive in Florence Friday night rather than driving in Saturday morning.
Follow the Pecans Beyond the Festival
The celebration doesn’t have to end when the festival closes.
Continue your pecan-themed adventure on the SC Pecan Trail, a self-guided experience connecting local restaurants, bakeries, shops and specialty stops offering pecan-inspired foods and products throughout Florence County.
Use the Visit Flo app or a trail passport to check in as you explore.
It is an easy way to transform festival weekend into a county-wide food adventure — and maybe discover your new favorite Florence treat along the way.
Add Arts and Culture to Your Weekend
November’s calendar goes well beyond pecans.
Florence’s arts scene includes performances at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center, productions at the Florence Little Theatre, exhibits at the Florence County Museum and concerts by the Florence Symphony Orchestra.
On November 9, for example, the Florence Symphony presents Lyric & Fire at the FMU Performing Arts Center.
That makes Florence an easy destination for couples or friends who want to combine a festival weekend with dinner and a show.
Stay for the Weekend
Here’s the secret to experiencing the SC Pecan Festival: don’t make it a day trip.
Arrive Friday. Have dinner at a local restaurant and explore Downtown Florence. Wake up Saturday for Run Like a Nut or sleep in and head straight to the festival. Spend Sunday exploring the Pecan Trail, take a walk on the Rail Trail, visit a museum or venture into another Florence County community before heading home.
With hotels near I-95, throughout Florence and in the heart of downtown, it is easy to make a full weekend out of your visit.
