Steve CThe access road is not paved, it's smooth and dusty. Lots of parking space and the area is kept clean. The river was very low when I was there but the ramps seemed usable anyway. Even with the low water, the current is fairly strong and the banks are steep and muddy. This river definitely needs 10 to 15 feet higher water level to be more usable and pretty.

Miranda GriffinI used to come here all of the time with my husband John Hay before he passed away just last year, July 2023. There is a paved boat ramp with free parking. There's a covered picnic area with tables, a swing, and a nice grill. There are amenities on site as well, such as electricity and water. There is a portable bathroom on the opposite side of the picnic area. There are time switches for fans and lights. Lastly, there is an information broad and the beginnings of a fire pit area. My family and I share so many wonderful memories here being together on the Pee Dee River. This place deserved a review from someone who knows and loves everything about it!

Rick MilesOne of my favorite places to go, I remember before everything was redone and looking brand new LOL I chained a spatula to the grill hoping nobody would remove it, it was kind of my way of contributing LOL but somebody did manage to remove it. But it is an awesome place and I'm glad that they have security cameras up now and electricity! Definitely one of the places you want to try to keep nice and clean. Good job to the local police and civilians who try to keep this place up and running. I love this place and has always been one of my favorites!

Mark SmithGreat ramp on the Big Pee Dee. Ramp and dock are well maintained. Ramp is exposed to the current, so be aware that loading and unloading is in a sideways current which can be very strong.
