McKenzie Farms
McKenzie Farms and Nursery is located on Hwy 341 between Lake City and Olanta SC.. We have been producing vegetables and other crops here since the mid 1960's. We grow watermelons, squash and sweet potatoes during the summer season followed by cabbage and collard greens during winter. The Nursery is a year round adventure! We specialize in cold hardy citrus, eucalyptus and some palms. We currently grow and graft some 40 different species of citrus. Many of the citrus species are extremely rare and come from all over the world. Below are some photos of the McKenzie Family.

I’ve visited many nurseries over the years, but McKenzie Farms is truly something special! The quality of the citrus trees is outstanding, the prices are great, and the selection of cold hardy citrus is incredible. Stan, the citrus man, has an impressive collection and a wealth of knowledge to share. I believe that what sets this place apart is Stan himself. He is incredibly generous with his time and genuinely passionate about citrus. On my first visit, he took the time to walk me through the orchard, explain different varieties, and answer all my questions. That experience sparked my passion for growing citrus, and it continues to inspire me today. Every time I visit, I learn something new. It’s rare to find someone with this level of expertise who is also so welcoming and willing to help others succeed. If you’re interested in citrus, McKenzie Farms is absolutely worth the trip. Thank you, Stan, for sharing your knowledge, growing such beautiful trees, and inspiring so many people to discover the world of citrus.
Jun 20, 2026 · Google ReviewWe have at least 6 citrus trees from Mr. Stan! We have picked up in person and ordered over the phone. They’re looking ✨incredible✨ We will be in fact ordering more 🙂↕️ it’s a lot easier for me to order over the phone, but getting a chance to talk to Mr. Stan about life in person as he shows us his property is well worth the drive. Great family company!
Feb 27, 2026 · Google ReviewGreat communication and service. Ordered 6 plants through email/over the phone right before an extended cold snap (lowest temps / most snow in a decade). Trees were shipped after weather cleared and arrived the next day! Trees arrived packed perfectly and in excellent condition. Would recommend to anyone who prioritizes healthy trees and excellent customer service!
Feb 13, 2026 · Google ReviewOn Monday March 23, 2026 me and 3 of my sister lady friends took off for an adventure to McKenzie Farms and Nursery. Despite the nearly 2 hour drive it was well worth it and will travel there again! First I begin by saying I telephoned Mr Stan McKenzie about 2 to 3 times before making the trip and each time he was polite, answered my questions and returned my phone calls in a timely manner whenever a telephone message was left. His farm exudes a calming effect the moment you arrive and your feet touch the ground. Mr McKenzie is a wealth of knowledge on his agricultural skills and he wants to share what he knows. He takes his time and gives you a tour of the farm and makes you feel like he appreciates your stopping by. You see, up until this moment we hadn't made purchases but by the time he finished we loaded up about 10-15 trees between us. If you're old school and remember when business people treated you like they appreciated your business then you will enjoy this visit for sure. I took a few photos, but because I'm not all that proficient in technology they won't be posted, you will have to experience McKenzie Farm and Nursery for yourself. Now don't go looking for some miles of acreage with a bunch of high tech equipment posted all around, making the place resemble something you can't wrap your mind around. Instead think of the "Walton Farm" and go prepared to be educated and feeling a little lighter from any mental loads that you were carrying when you arrived. I hope you will visit and treat this gentleman with utmost kindness. Thank you to McKenzie Farm and Nursery for the beautiful healthy trees, the wealth of knowledge and for old fashioned showing a care for your customers.
Mar 25, 2026 · Google ReviewWe drove from Charlotte to see McKenzie farms and got to meet both Stan and his grandson. It’s a wonderful family owned farm and you can definitely see Stan’s love for what he does. He gave us a mini tour, and even gave us fruit to try and collard greens. Large variety of very healthy plants! Can’t wait to come again during citrus season. We purchased 4 trees, wonderful experience
