We had a great experience here. The last skating rink in Charleston closed last year. Now all we have is an ice skating rink that doesn't even have my size skate (15) so I can't even attempt to try ice skating. Skateland was a blast for my family. For the price of $10 + $4 for skate rental it isn't bad. The staff was nice. The atmosphere was relaxing. The black lights (glow lights) also turned on twice which made everything glow. There were two police officers on site at all times (not sure if it's a Saturday only presence). We are going to make the 1:45hr drive back this summer just to enjoy the skating.

A great place to bring the kids when school is out. Prices are very reasonable and the rink itself is in good condition. The staff are friendly and play games on the rink with the kids. It is a little run down in terms of modernization but some things don't need to be too modern to be fun. Decent sound system and a great family place. Highly recommend.
