I live in Charleston, SC. The prices of venues in my area are astronomical, so we started branching out to other "local areas." We found this place and fell in love. It was reasonably priced and there weren't a thousand different vendor options to choose from (which gets very overwhelming). This little one-street town opened its arms to us for the weekend. Kim is very helpful, but be prepared to keep correspondence to email only. I visited the town before the wedding day for their annual art festival, and Kim ran out of her office to greet me. I felt like I was getting married in a Hallmark movie. We held the ceremony in The Stables and the reception in The O.T. Hall, and almost all of our guests stayed at the Inn at the Crossroads. It was awesome. No one had to move their car the whole weekend. On Sunday morning, we walked back over to The Stables for a brunch buffet (be warned: they don't have coffee, only sweet tea). If you're looking a one-stop southern wedding, look no further!

The Stables was the perfect venue for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Not a lot of decorations needed because of its beauty. Kim was absolutely the dream to work with, very accommodating, quick to respond, and helpful. We had the best time. Would recommend 10/10.

I waited for my bride to post her review, which she just did! As mother-of-the-bride I found the entire experience at the Stables and OT Hall for my daughter's wedding to be so much easier than I anticipated. Kim, the venue coordinator and her staff were wonderful to work with. The rooms were beautiful, clean, spacious and looked great, even before Palmetto Wedding and Event rentals stepped in! I highly recommend working with the local vendors including Palmetto for your linens, candles, all personal touches and A-Bloom for your flowers! Back to the venues though, we really couldn't have been happier with the way things turned out. The food was great, (in-house caterer), the top-shelf bar tier we chose was excellent, the staff were truly all wonderful and I can't believe it's over already! I can't say enough good things! You will also love the Inn at the Crossroads for your stay. Wonderful suites, nice rooms and great staff. Enjoy your day.

I really enjoyed my experience at The Stables. The customer service was great and the atmosphere was nice and clean. I also appreciated that the food was not overly seasoned since I follow a low sodium diet. They had a really good variety of sweet and savory dishes, and the cucumber salad was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back.

The Mule Stables was a perfect venue for a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner. There was plenty of room and was completely different look from O.T. Hall where we were having the reception. With them being in the same building though it made it so easy to go between the two the weekend of the wedding. The facilities are kept clean and are beautiful. Kim Johnson was amazing to work with. I was able to get her on the phone or email her and receive quick responses. I couldn’t have been more pleased.
