Rachelle StewartI cannot say enough wonderful things about Evette Jones. She has helped me enroll for both last year’s and this year’s semesters, and her kindness, patience, and professionalism made all the difference in my experience. Returning to school after being out of the classroom for many years was overwhelming, and so much of the process was new to me. Evette took the time to answer every question I had and guided me through each step of registration and financial aid. She never made me feel rushed, and she always treated me with respect and understanding. What stood out most was her genuine concern for my education and success. She made me feel like a person, not just another student or number in the system. Her welcoming attitude and willingness to help eased my anxiety and gave me the confidence I needed to move forward. Florence-Darlington Technical College is fortunate to have someone as dedicated and compassionate as Evette Jones. Been ThereIt Balances Out at the Intersection, Mr. Veblen There is a growing irony in modern education: the standardization of technology and curriculum is equalizing the value of the knowledge itself. Whether you are at a prestigious university or a smaller college like FDTC, the 'tools of the trade'—from certifications to hands-on E-courses—are often identical. While the 'prestige' of a degree still influences starting salaries, the actual substance taught remains constant across the board. We are essentially living out the Veblen principle in real-time. Much like choosing a $70,000 vehicle over a $30,000 one, the utility remains the same; we are simply paying a premium for the badge on the hood.

Cristie CabreraI don't attend the school yet, but I called to figure some things out. I selected "admissions" from the main menu and got the sweet, most helpful employee, Mrs. Rudy. She answered my questions. She was looking specific wording so I could reach out to my counselor but couldn't find it during the call. She called me back with 15 minutes with the information I needed. Thank you, Mrs. Rudy! I truly appreciate your help! Hope to meet you one day 😊
