Great reasonably priced hotel off I 95 in SC. Clean and convenient.
Oct 11, 2026 · Google ReviewOverall the usual, good Hyatt Place experience. I'm not sure how it is at other Hyatt Place locations but this one seems dated. The old locations seem to not be well lit. This location doesn't have an ice machine for guests. There is cold water available in the lobby in the bar/breakfast area but there were times when it would have been nice to have ice for drinks at night in our room. Before I learned about the ice water in the bar/breakfast area, I was having one of the breakfast staff in the morning put ice in my water bottle for me. Also, the Wi-Fi was not great but my techy son did some research and apparently, it's a problem at most all Hyatt Place locations. We got faster speeds using the Wi-Fi hot spot on our phones. The 2-bed rooms have full-sized beds and not queen-sized beds. I like that there's an L-shaped sofa that pulls out to a bed if I have the whole family but my wife and I in a full-sized bed would not be comfortable and we would not choose a hotel that had full-sized beds for the 2 main beds in the room. But besides being a bit dated and dim in some common places, the usual good experience.
Oct 9, 2026 · Google ReviewNahvah was amazing! She helped ensure that our check in process was flawless which we appreciated after a long day of travel. Emeka and Nicole helped us as well! Overall the experience has been great and my mom and I would absolutely come back to this location! Having great customer service and staff that truly care really makes a huge difference in the experience. We are so happy with these ladies!
Oct 9, 2026 · Google ReviewI would definitely stay at Hyatt Place Florence/Downtown again, especially if I wanted to be right in the middle of downtown Florence. The location was one of the best things about this hotel. It is right downtown with restaurants, bars, businesses, a grocery store, liquor store, and historical areas nearby. There are plenty of places within walking distance, which makes it a great location if you want to park and explore the area. The hotel itself was nice, clean, and spacious. The ladies who checked me in were extremely friendly and helpful. There are several areas inside and outside where people can sit, relax, talk, and enjoy each other, so I could see this being a good hotel for groups. There is also a nice bar area, although I didn’t arrive in time to use it. They serve Starbucks coffee, but there is not an actual Starbucks location inside the hotel. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. It had a refrigerator and hair dryer, but I don’t remember seeing a microwave in the room. I believe there was one available downstairs. The bathroom had a shower/tub combination, toiletries were provided, and the water pressure was good. I don’t specifically remember how comfortable the bed was because we arrived late and were exhausted, but I slept all night. The curtains did a good job blocking out the light, which helped us sleep a little later the next morning. Breakfast was available and included hot items such as sausage, eggs, and potatoes, along with a variety of other breakfast items and drinks including orange and apple juice. The hotel is pet-friendly. I saw several pets during our stay, and there are grassy areas around the hotel for dogs. I also noticed people actually cleaning up behind their pets, which I appreciated. The walls aren’t especially thick because I could hear a dog barking from a nearby room, but it wasn’t enough to bother me. There is a pool, gym, elevators near the front desk, and accessible entrances. I didn’t use the Wi-Fi or TV during this stay, so I can’t speak to the internet quality or whether the TVs offer streaming services. One thing I would make sure to ask about at check-in is parking. Parking was $5 during our stay. I was told to park across from the hotel, but I wasn’t given enough detail to understand exactly where the hotel parking was. When you leave the front of the hotel, the parking is across the street, but you need to continue to the area behind the black gates and use your room key to enter. I initially parked in an area with BTC parking signs because I thought that was where I had been directed. Once I figured out where the actual hotel parking was, it was convenient and felt secure. A more detailed explanation at check-in would have saved me some confusion, so if you’re staying here, just make sure you know exactly where to enter the gated parking area. We paid a little over $200 for one night. Under normal circumstances I would compare that price with other options in the area, but we stayed during a very busy weekend when one of the area’s major Wilson High School events was happening and a lot of people were in town. Considering the timing and the downtown location, I felt the rate was reasonable for that particular stay. Would I return? Yes. The location, cleanliness, friendly staff, walkability, gathering spaces, and overall convenience made it a hotel I would stay at again if the price was right.

Oct 6, 2026 · Google ReviewThis hotel is in the heart of downtown Florence and is easy to walk to dinner at Victor’s Carolina Chophouse. The room was “roomy” and very comfortable bedding. Rain shower and bath were well lit and freshly cleaned. Slept like a baby!
Sep 26, 2026 · Google ReviewBeautiful hotel, sparking clean, comfortable bed, very nice room with everything we needed. The free breakfast was amazing, they even had a pancake machine! The only reason I’m not rating this a 5 is the unfortunate occurrence of a leak from the vent above the toilet. It was very disconcerting to have brown water leaking on your head and clothing. We were about ready to check out when this happened; I’m sure the staff would have taken care of us if we had been staying longer. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful.
