Hotel was ok. There was hair on the bathroom floor when I arrived and leftover flour and oil in the kitchen cabinet but overall it was relatively clean. Staff were very friendly. Air conditioning was 3/5… it worked but had a hard time cooling down to the set temperature. My biggest red flag and the reason I would probably not stay again was the $5/day parking. I was told at check-in about the fee so no issue there but when I asked for a card to put in my car I was told that there wasn’t one… which is odd if you’re paying for parking. There is one $5 charge on my bill after a 2 night stay… Based on this it certainly looks like they are just charging every guest an extra $5 and calling it a parking fee. Without something in the vehicles to indicate that the parking is paid, what does it matter?
Jul 6, 2026 · Google ReviewI have 5 stars because I would definitely stay here again. We slept well. The curtain makes the room pretty dark and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a little weak compared to some other Marriott properties but that might be the standard Towneplace Suite breakfast. The price was one of the lowest in the area. I like to stay at this exit because the hotels are pretty good and there are lots of food options. The smell in our room was a little musty and the kids found that off putting. Over all I think it was fair for the price.
Jul 11, 2026 · Google ReviewWhat a great hotel! We've stayed at so many in Florence, but first time here. Very nice. Love that the pool is outside!! Love the room with nice big fridge and freezer, we got ice cream from Brusters and put it in the freezer till we were ready to have it. Was a nice night for sitting out by the pool, and quiet, some hotels have nothing but highway noise. Pool was clean and the water was nice. Not too cold! Good breakfast! Lots of topping choices for the plain yogurt, very good. Hot foods, waffles, bread variety. They do need hot cocoa though!!!
Jun 26, 2026 · Google ReviewThe rooms are well stocked, clean, well maintained, and great for an overnight family stay. Love the size of the fridge! It has an actual freezer. The staff is pleasant, the lobby is clean and welcoming, breakfast is simple but convenient. 4 stars for 2 reasons: 1 - there's a $5 parking charge that makes no sense. There's no parking garage, the lot has plenty of space and is tucked in the back. What is the $5 for? 2 - The outdoor pool was not clean and there was no skimmer around for us to at least get the worst of it out. Otherwise, great place to stay!
May 12, 2026 · Google ReviewI typically choose Marriott properties whenever I travel to the Florence area because I trust the brand’s commitment to guest comfort and service. During my recent stay at TownePlace Suites, I experienced a concerning situation that I believe management should be aware of. After checking in, I went to my assigned room and found that the door was propped open. This immediately made me feel unsafe. When I returned to the front desk to report the issue, the associate on duty, Taylor, was dismissive. She stated that housekeeping probably left the door open after cleaning and told me that I should simply go inside, close the door, lock it, and go to sleep. Given the safety concern, her response felt unprofessional and lacked empathy. It made me wonder how many other guests may have had their concerns handled in a similar way. I sincerely hope this matter is addressed appropriately. Because I did not feel comfortable, I waited for the shift change. When Whitney came on duty, the experience completely changed. She listened carefully, showed genuine concern, and immediately worked to resolve the issue. Whitney even helped me move my belongings and ensured that both I and my furry companion were comfortable in the new room. When I offered her a tip for her assistance, she kindly declined, explaining that she was simply doing her job and wanted to make sure my stay was comfortable. Whitney demonstrated the true meaning of hospitality and professionalism. She is the epitome of excellent customer service, and I give her 5 stars. My interaction with Taylor, however, would be rated 1 star. I hope management recognizes Whitney for her outstanding service and also provides the necessary coaching and training so that all guest safety concerns are handled with care, urgency, and professionalism.
