This place had the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had in my life. Super fresh, juicy, and tender. I can’t remember what kind of sauce came with the chicken, I think it was some sort of honey mustard bbq sauce or something, but omg… drooling thinking of it. Sides were coleslaw, mac and cheese, cornbread, and mashed potatoes. You can tell everything is homemade. Also got the strawberry sonker and the key lime pie. Delish. Highly recommend this place.

Wow, REALLY good! Catfish Dinner Plate: excellent fish was tasty and light. Rice was nice. Came with slaw, 1x Side (Collard Greens: sweet vinegar with some heat, and a bit of pork, really good!), and some AMAZING Hushpuppies (fresh, sweet corn bread). Shrimp & Grits: Fantastic! Buttery and cheesy grits with sausage and nice shrimp (not over-cooked or chewy). Green beans were slightly too soft (30-mins until closing), but good comfort food. Coleslaw was "meh," but a good, crunchy foil to the fish and rice. Counter Service (order at register, then they bring to table/to-go) was quite fast, given that they had to cook the fish and prep foods for take-out. Everything looked clean, staff was nice, and owner was talking to everyone. Didn't get to try the variety of desserts, but they looked and smelled great. Traveling, but worth the stop!

From the amazing and friendly service, to the delicious food. You can't go wrong coming here. Very happy and full leaving this restaurant, and when I am traveling through again I will most definitely stop and try more of the menu. Talking with the owner and learning how it started in the farmers market down the street, and grew into this business was cool to learn. If you want some good South Carolina food do yourself a favor and stop here.

Yum! 1400 plus reviews in a small rural city speaks for itself! Service was polite. Food was delicious and generous. Nothing fancy though! If you want fancy, go to town hall or victor’s, but dine here for real good food!

Great home-cooking just off I-95. We had fried green tomatoes, fried catfish nuggets, and the cheeseburger salad for dinner. The fried green tomatoes and the cheeseburger salad are highlights. Another highlight is how friendly and helpful the staff are. The catfish nuggets are inspired. Negatives would be hush puppies were overcooked + silverware was so dull it was difficult to cut my salad. Overall, we will definitely be stopping here again & never mind Cracker Barrel down the street.
