This place is awful. I'm here for spring race weekend. The room was not thoroughly checked at all for cleanliness. There is a small but important list to consider when booking a room here. 1. Open cat food container under the sink WITH a large knife next to it. Picture enclosed. 2. The kitchenette sink leaks. 3. Dirty used plastic cup behind the bed and someone left a charging block behind. And a bar of used soap. Gross! 4. The room is not maintained daily. So no new linens, no towels, no nothing. 5. When I asked for towels, they don't have any. They would if they took and washed them daily. 6. The driveway and overall parking lot is in terrible shape. Pull in slow, or you will destroy something on your car. Avoid the large potholes. 7. There are NO vending machines here. 8. They require a $100 dollar refundable deposit before you can check in. This was not mentioned anywhere on booking dot com when I booked the room. Or I wouldn't have booked it. This place isn't worth $100 dollars. This dipped really hard into our budget and we're not happy about it. 9. There is no hot water. Letting the water run for 20 minutes just for it to be lukewarm, is not acceptable for a hotel, or any hospitality business. 10. The lighting in the corridors is not very good at night. Bring a partner with you when you grab ice. 11. The bathroom towel rack is about to fall out of the wall. 12. No breakfast. None. Not even grab and go. There is a Keurig in the main lobby. You do have coffee in the room, but no coffee pot. 13. The pool is empty. And has been for a long time. 14. There is a restaurant/bar on site. It doesn't look open at all. There are SOME positives, but not enough to bump it off 1 star. 1. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Mattress is nice and firm. 2. It's mostly quiet. 3.full size fridge 4.Two burner electric stove. No pots, pans, or utensils included. As expected. Not a fault. But the room has a stove. 5. The room is laid out well, but you will not get and iron, blow dryer, coffee maker, or a working landline. Which nobody uses, but came into the room with the floating night stand and phone, just on the floor. No rhyme or reason. I fixed it. Took 5 seconds to hang back up on the wall. 6. Since they don't serve breakfast at this hotel, there is a take out only Waffle House in short walking distance. I don't recommend this hotel at all. Please don't book here. Any review you see that's more than one star is a bot and not a real account. I stayed in cheap 3 star hotels for a very long time in my travels, and this is the first and only one that was so bad, I had to write a review. I don't complain or make a fuss, I understand how customer service works, but this is uncalled for with a hotel this size. Sorry this was long. I feel it's important guests should know. I will edit this later whenever I get my $100 dollar deposit back. I'm seeing some haven't received their deposit back. I will update if we don't. And if we don't, I will. Legally if need be. I also don't want a generic response from management. I want my $100 deposit back as quickly as possible, and an updated listing to your hotel with new pictures and a better experience for uninformed guest. Hotels as bad as this are usually closed by the county in my hometown. Update, it only took 3 days to get our deposit back. Thank you. I've edited this at least 5 times because I keep forgetting to add more issues...
