I’ve stay at several Hilton properties in Florence, SC and this property stands out because of several reasons. 1)Many of the staff were wonderful! Our first point of contact was Valorie at the front desk. Friendly, genuine, a wonderful experience after a long drive. The next staff encounter was at breakfast the next 2 mornings and Carolyn and Ashley were the best breakfast attendants we’ve ever had. What a difference a smiling and friendly face can make to start the day! 2) The breakfast had a fresh trio of blueberries, strawberries and blackberries, delicious! Everything was hot, fresh and really good, better than most Hampton Inn breakfast offerings we’ve had elsewhere. 3) We brought our puppies on our visit here about 6 months ago and it was very dog friendly but clean. 4) The hot tub and indoor pool were a great amenity. This area could use a little better cleaning as there was the same trash on the floor and in the corners both days we were there, but it was otherwise a pleasant experience. 5) The grounds were well maintained, they are obviously doing some upgrade work as the parking area had some spaces taken up with pallets of shower pans to be installed but there seemed to still be plenty of room for guest parking. There are several restaurants within walking distance and driving to others is an easy on & off to I-95.

We stopped here as a halfway point between New Jersey and Florida. I stayed in a lot of Hampton inns and it can really be hit or miss with the building condition and the services. I would say this location was well above average. The hotel had recently been renovated, or maybe it was a newer building. The hot breakfast Service was very well done, with fresh fruit, and always full of coffee pods. I would definitely stop at this hotel again.

Hampton Inn is fortunate to have someone like you representing their brand. Outstanding customer service is hard to find these days, and you went above and beyond. The staff were polite and attentive. The upper surfaces of our room appeared to be clean and the beds were comfortable. However, the floors in the room were extremely dirty. My husband had slipped off his tennis shoes after a long day of travel. He had on white socks and after about 15 minutes or so of walking around in the room we noticed that his socks were totally brown on the bottom. Then we started looking at the floors and noticed how dirty they were. In addition we then looked at the floors in the hallway and lobby as we went out to dinner. They were all dirty too. I reported this to staff at checkout and they apologized and said they would look into it. But how could they not notice this on their own as it wasn't just the floor in our room but in the hallways and etc too? We had stayed in a Hampton Inn in Killum SC at the beginning of our trip and in comparison it was much cleaner.
